CF32 & CF33 vs. CF11 & CF12

When CF32 and CF33 are set to less than 100%, should not CF11 and CF12 be set as default to 100% with no Skull warning as otherwise it would amount to double counting conservatism?

I see now that I have the unit that there is Decotype ZH-L16 CC and L16-GF CC... am I correct that CF11 and CF 12 apply only to ZH-L16 CC (and the GF factors are ignored, and CF32 and CF33 apply only to L16-GF CC (and the 10% fudge factor in CF 11 and 12 is ignored) - so that there is no double counting of conservatism?

Hello,

CF11 and CF12 are the conservatism factors for the B?hlmann model. B?hlmann recommended 90% and 110% for the desaturation and saturation. CF32 and CF33 are the GF_lo and GF_high values for the gradient factor mode extension. In the GF deco modes you can also set conservatism with these values but a deeper knowledge of the GF model is strongly recommended before changing these values.

regards,
Matthias

So, in GF Deco mode, in addition to the GF conservatism Hi/Lo factor, the 90% and 110% saturation are applied?

Please add to the wish list a no Skull warning for GF factors of 90/90 (Low/High) as diving no deco on Air to max. 30 meters these would be more appropriate than a GF lower than 90 (at least for my diving or the Divemaster on a recreational dive will go nuts if it see a computer going into deco mode).

Why don't you use Buehlmann for air?
GF is mainly for Trimix and useless for air.

Yes, you are right. I should use Decotype ZH-L16 CC for Air.

For Trimix though, in Decotype L16-GF CC, in addition to the GF conservatism Hi/Lo factor (i.e. 15/85), is the 90% and 110% saturation CF11 and CF 12 also applied (or is this ignored)?

Compared to the same GF-setting on the Vision and the Shearwater i don't see a lot of difference so i believe CF 11 and 12 is ignored when using GF-setting on the OSTC.

yeah, but who knows what fudge factors are there in Vision and Shearwater... the beauty of the OSTC is its transparency... so we really need to have this answered by the code writer of the latest non-beta firmware.

CF11 (Faktor in % f?r S?ttigungsvorg?nge)und CF12 Faktor in % f?r Ents?ttigungsvorg?nge) are ignored in GF-mode.
