Surface Interval time discrepancy

Hi After a couple of dives today my buddy and i noticed a difference of approx 10-15mins in our two units. I am running v2.21 in OSTC 992 , his is OSTC 2n 2974 running v 2.00 . We both did same dives and entered and left water at same times. His unit on both occasions ran slower, my unit matched our back up Suunto and another buddys dive computer.. Also time in is correct on both units as is exit and current time.. Strange one any ideas?

Mike

I remember an issue with nofly times when the unit is in standby, but this is supposed to result in a "faster" unit!? Might be something like this, knowing this I'd not trust the "old" version...

Was hoping for some more replys to this. The 2N was running slow so if anything you would think your surface interval was shorter than it was, thats not a huge problem providing its calculating any deco requirements for upcoming dives correctly. If its a one off on this unit should it be returned?

Mike,

You may want to contact HW directly. They can advise you whether the 2N should be returned.

In earlier versions the surface interval was not continued correctly if the unit was not in surface or sleep mode (e.g. in Logbook or Menu). The 2.21 time is correct for all modes. This value has no effect on repetitive dives, it's a simple counter. Please ask your friend to update to 2.21
