OSTC Planner Gas consomation bug?

Post by xymanuel »

Hi HW,
i'm using defaults for OC (CF11 110% CF12 90%, CF29 3m, CF56 20l/min).
Diveplanning:
Interval 0min, Dive Time 5min, Divedepth 30m.

Simulate -> TTS 4' NDL 9'
Gas Volumes -> 640
Simulate again -> TTS 4' NDL 4'
Gas Volumes -> 640
Simulate -> TTS 4' DECO
Gas Volumes -> 640

First Question:
640 barliter for 5 min in 30m with 10m/min ascend rate.
I count:
20l/min * 5min * 4bar = 400barliter
+
now the ascend with 10m/min means, i need 3min to surface.
20l/min * 3 * 2,5bar = 150 liter (2,5 bar is 15m avarage depth)

400+150=550 barliter not 640?

Ok the Planner says 4' TTS, maybe not 10m/min for safety.
20l/min * 4 * 2,5bar = 200liter
400+200=600 liter not 640?
:)

Second Question:
For the first simulation with NDL of 9' i think the 640barliter maybe correct.
But for the second iteration with an buttom time of 10min at 30m and an NDL of 4' the predicted volume of 640liter is wrong.
It must be:
400liter for the first 5min at 30m
+
400liter for the second 5min at 30m
+
~200liter for the ascend from 30m to surface (depends on answer of Question 1 ;) ).
= 1000liter
It only counts the volumes of the second iteration.

Kind regards from Freiburg too,
Manuel
(will buy an OSTC2N and the OSTC Planner if this is fixed.)
:)

*edit*
Is is not my typo.. the planner says "Bottom gas consomation",
i would say, "Bottom gas CONSUMPTION"
consomation is no known word? :)
