Clarification on CF18 and CF46

Hello,

I've been asked for clarifications on CF18 and CF46.
Apparently the CF docs (at least English and French version) are not clear on the subject and need more explanations...

My understanding :
CF18 [0..1.6] has 3 effects :
* during gas configuration CF18, is used to compute the MOD according gas O2%
* during dive the current ppO2 is displayed or hidden according to this value
* for gas changes, gas that would lead to a ppO2 over CF18 are display in red in the gaslist
=> If set to 0, the ppO2 is always displayed but the MOD are stupid

CF46 [1.0..1.61] has also 2 effects :
* during gas configuration it changes the color of the ppO2 displayed along to the change depth if the ppO2 max is over-passed at that depth.
* It turns into the alarm color (red by default) the ppO2max if over-passed at the current depth.

if CF46<CF18, the current ppO2 is display directly in alarm color even if lower than CF18

Am I right ??
Are there any other effects of these params ?

Hello,

I think "during dive the current ppO2 is displayed or hidden according to this value " is done by CF19 and not CF18.

CF19 sets the threshold to show the ppO2 during the dive.

The CF18's threshold is used for MOD and the warning flag in the dive profile.

CF46 is for color-coding the ppO2 in gaslists or during the dive.
