Re: hwOS Tech: 2.97 released

Besten Dank Ralph!

I'm still very puzzled with those new results. I'll have to invest time in adapting the GF to have matching runtimes on both computers.

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.97 released

Thank you Ralf for the very detailed description of the parameters of influence! I still don't get why during diving I had deco stops at 12m and none at 9m. Coming back to the simulations I compare, there are no gas changes. Deco gas are deactivated. And the 1m/min after 3m doesn't influence the dec...

@HW: which other parameter(s) could make such a difference?

Thank you

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.97 released

Hello Claude

I don't really agree with your statement.
And testing it still leads to huge difference in DTR between the 2 computers /HwOS versions, as shown in the attachement.

Kind regards

Re: hwOS Tech: 2.97 released

Hello team, I upgraded my OSTC3 some time ago with the latest HWOS v2.97 I then parametered it with the same setting (GF 45/85 and saturation 110/90) as before and as on my OSTC2 with version HW v2.26 The runtimes I get on the OSTC3 are not comparable to previous similar dives, I get deco stops at l...

Re: battery change

Thanks Matthias for confirming such critical parameters are checked from release to release.
I have an OSTC3, so no Bluetooth, and the screen brughtness parameters are always set to the minimum.
I hardly use the compass.

So consumption remains a mystery.

Re: battery change

Looking back in my log book, I've been diving almost 3 times longer with my first Saft LS 14500 than with the second.
Many firmware upgrades have been released in the meantime, could it be that latest firmwares are much more battery consuming?

Re: battery change

That's a good question. I changed my first OSTC3 battery with less than 10% and finished the dive without problem. Last month I started a dive with 34% battery. When doing the safety stop, the OSTC3 was warning about 10% battery and it didn't make it until the end of the dive. (by the way the log do...

PpO2 max bottom gas vs. deco gas

Hi, Would it be possible to implement two different PpO2 max ceilings: . one for the bottom gas - one for deco gas Some federations use e.g. 1.4 bar for the bottom gas, and 1.6 bar for deco gases. I would like to use different settings for those gases types, I'm sure it will be used by other tec div...

Simulator

Hi

Would it be possible to implement the gas consumption estimation when doing a simulation? This would bring additional security to the manual dive planning.

Thanks in advance

Hallo zusammen,

Update to v1.40 done, thanks again for the safety stop ;)

No issue with the compass, working fine. And still looking forward to a graphical representation with bearings.

Re: OSTC3 safety stop

Hi everyone, If I read the product tag line correctly, it says: "Our OSTC 3 is the perfect fit for recreational divers with an interest in technically challenging dives" So, definitely not just for technical dives. Matthias, if the feature is already implemented on the OSTC2, it should be ...

Re: OSTC3 safety stop

Hi It looks like more and more OSTC3 customers are requesting the safety stop feature. I use my OSTC3 in simple dives without deco as well as in more complicated dives with deco: we are talking about security here with the safety stop feature, the OSTC3 must be able to provide the necessary security...

Re: OSTC3: Compass offset

I agree with dnaandy for a classical graphic compass implementation. I would also find it useful to have the posibility to lock a bearing.(tu) Bad experience yesterday when divin for the first time with my OSTC3: it generates quite a strong magnetic field around it, so that it completely offsets my ...

Hi Denis
That's also what I would like to do.
However the battery you suggest is bigger than a AA battery. Can it fit in the OSTC3?

Re: OSCT3 - Battery Life (1.5v very short)

Hi Has anyone experience with rechargeable batteries and the OSTC3? - Would NiMH fit or is the nominal voltage too low? - What about those Lithium-Manganese (and cutting the lugs) http://www.conrad.ch/ce/fr/product/250848/Batterie-Emmerich-Li-manganse-ULF?ref=list They need a special charger. Thanks...
