Better gas being shown on descent..

Hi all,

During a dive yesterday to 55m I noticed that, on the way down, the current gas was highlighted in yellow and was flashing. I've not seen this before other than during an ascent when the 'better gas' change is prompted.
The prompt to 'change' gas came as I passed somewhere around the 30-40m mark, I can't remember exactly but I remember thinking that I'd maybe marked the 32% as the 'First Gas' but when I checked the settings my gases were configured as below:


Firmware v2.50

1st Gas: 20/35
2nd Gas: 32%
3rd Gas: 72%

Yes, this is correct. The OSTC can not know (for sure) that you are ascending (Think of complex cave profiles).

OK thanks Matthias, sounds logical. I just hadn't noticed it before and it concerned me.
