Extreme temperatures showing on battery info

Post by iwmcarthur »

Hi, after recharging the battery I had a look at the battery info and saw fairly extreme temperatures for Tmin and Tmax (as detailed in the photo). Tmax was in Spain where the temp was about 35 or 40 but not quite 75.8 ! Tmin was in Scotland where it's cold but never quite as low as -53 ;)

Firmware is 2.50.

Any ideas?

Yes, I have noticed the same thing, although not as extreme as this.

I know this problem, that was topic some time ago.
I thought that this problem was solved with a 2.something firmware version.

Anyway, you can set these values to something more reliable with OSTCTools.

Thanks, guys. I had a look at OSTCTools, Rob, but can't read German ;) However, I've downloaded the package and found an English PDF in there etc. :)-D

>> My website in german ...

i know i know i know ... i have to...

But the software is in english.

To change the entries download the data from your OSTC with OSTCConfig (you dont need status and profile for that), go to the "Temperature" Tab, click on "Allow edit" and change the value to whateveryouwant ;)
Then, upload the Data to the OSTC.

Remark; After downloading the data, you have 5 minutes to do this, after the 5 minutes editing of these values will be switched off.

Also, I have not seen an explanation as to what the heading CYCLES refers to. What is the first figure? What is the figure in (brackets)?

As per the manual (one area where it is up to date) the cycles is recharge cycles and the number in brackets is complete (full) charge cycles. Keep in mind it will show a charge cycle any time the OSTC is connected to a computer via USB.

Thank you for this.. mine was showing impossible temperatures too and also 100's of charge cycles due to a faulty cable that I since replaced, I was able to reset them using OSTC Tools, great stuff!
