New firmware 2.59beta

Post by heinrichsweikamp »

Hi all,

After some real-world testing, we now have uploaded the 2.59beta: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/#/en/ostc_2n/firmware/

Besides some new CF for the safety stop users we have fixed some issues with the new aGF function and the correct use of the diluent gases when updating from beta 2.55. There's now also a confirmation when a logbook-marker was set.

Check the changelog for all details: https://bitbucket.org/heinrichsweikamp/ ... at=default

Cheers,
Matthias

Thank You Matthias. Pity I haven't checked it before today's dives ... If no feedback by next weekend - I will try to provide some ...

Hello,

my bootloader is not working anymore and the download-link woun't do it either:
http://www.heinrichsweikamp.net/ostc/do ... loader.zip
Is there another place to download the bootloader?

Hi,

The new Beta is looking good. I've not dived with it but have been playing around with the unit and see that CF70 seems to have a limit of 4:10 - was that intentional? (not that I want to change it, I was just curious)

Hallo Matthias,

Thanks for your efforts, Matthias!

Just a couple of things:
CF70: S.StopLenght[s ] is in Seconds? Default value is 3:00 - but this is Minutes, not Seconds?

And all Current values of the new CF70 - 73 are set to zero. I think it would make more sense if the current values are the same like the Default values, not?

Help,

Danke

CF66 : Aff. GF Nodeco
CF67 : Alt. GF Bas [%]
CF68 : Alt. GF Haut[%]
CF69 : Changement GF

DiveMode :
ToggleGF : ChangeGF

Beta works well despite my tests

Have done three dives with 2.59. One was over 30 m and just into deco. All worked well, although the limitation of 4 mins (and 10 seconds) for the safety stop is a bit annoying.

Hi,

It's a 8bit custom function (max. 255) and it's limit is set to 250s currently.

Cheers,

Is there any chance to change unit from second to minutes ? Then 8bits would be more than enough :-) and I guess there is no one around who sets his stops (deco or safety) with second-precision anyway. For safety stop, round minutes should be ok.

Matthias, I realise the practical reasons behind this, but as gorcio says, is it possible to change so that it is only minutes?

As a quick workaround to the limitation, multiply by 10 ?

Still storing the CF in 8bits, and a 10s setting resolution for the safety stop timer CF is not a problem.
