Frustrated!

Got a new ostc 2n for Christmas, so much snow not managed to dive yet!! And now I read there's a ostc3 coming out.

Well, not everything that is new must also be good or better than an older product. The 2n is a nearly perfect diving computer, so you should not be disappointed with this really nice present!

I must agree with tiefunten, the 2N is an exceptionally good diving computer.

From the user's point of view, the 2N and 3 are in essence identical. The wet connector is as I read it, only used to display the O[sub]2[/sub] sensor values on screen, the software does not calculate with these values, and this is only relevant for CCR divers.

Also, HW mentioned that the ostc3 will have less customization options, though this might prove an advantage for some users...

I own a 2N, am very happy with it and have no plans to replace it in the near future. That said, it is very likely that my next dive-computer will be a HW product again! And i'm looking forward to see which new products are to come (maybe a lower cost rec unit with a monochrome display???)

Actually one thing I noted with the Frog. The LED display is no match to the OLED display of the 2N.

OSTC 2N is a weak computer, you'd better buy the new OSTC 3

Cheers guys, don't want to sound ungrateful I am blown away by my new toy, just so desparate to use it!!

If the ostc3 is ccr enabled that's too much for me and the oled screen looks amazing.
