Strange NDL on 2 dives today V2.70

Maybe its a sideeffect.
Can you save the OSTC Configuration (using OSTCConfig) and post the file here.
Than tell us all the steps you are doing during the simulation.

Matthias (or we) can load the configuration in the OSTC and follow your simulation steps. With exact the same settings.
And reset the deco data before starting the test.

Okay, now we are getting somewhere!

I pushed the old 2.65 beta on and ran the same sim. This time my initial NDL was 7 minutes as opposed to showing 20min and after 7 min dropping to zero. It was also better than what I got after doing a complete reset or change the algorithms back and forth. That time I initially got 11 minutes that kept clocking downwards witch was better but still inaccurate.

After that a pushed back the 2.70, uploaded my saved config and ran a new sim. Same results, initial NDL 7 min!


I’ll be keeping a close eye on it when I go diving this Wednesday; hopefully this is a permanent solution. Why this would work however I have no idea about, maybe you guys can tell me?

@ daviesjez. Can you see if this works for you as well? Run a sim and then, if you dare, take it diving and see what happens?

I will try tonight....I'm hoping it does, as we seem to be running out of ideas...:S

As an idea, i have not been out of CC mode since upgrading to 2.70 ( but will have to next week), so maybe as DF has done, you need to force from CC/OC/CC to fix?????

I updated my earlier post as i was wrong. I compared against iDeco but with a SP of 0.7 and thougt 11 minutes was right Sorry about that! I am doing too many things at once it seems.

Now it is better so please read above again

Ok...

I did what [DF] suggested:

Ran Sim for a 36mtr dive and NDL was way off
Reverted back to 2.65
Cleared deco data
Ran Sim again, NDL looked to be better
Updated to 2.70 again
Cleared Deco Data again
Restored settings
Ran Sim again, NDL matched what was showing under 2.65

Hopefully diving this weekend, and so will attempt to prove whether this has fixed the issue.....

Okay, here is an update.

After reverting back to an older firmware and then reinstalling the 2,70 i have seen no problems with the NDL:s in three dives.

I still wonder what went wrong but it seems like the problem is solved.
