Difference in TTS between 2 OSTCs

Post by mortenkjerulff »

Hi all.

I use two OSTCs when diving: One OSTC2n and one OSTC2c (brand new).

I am diving CCR and using zhl-16b algorithm.

This week, when diving CCR I played with bailout on the 2c (not the 2n) during a dive to 60 meters. That is, I bailed out on one of the computers, and then immediately returned to CCR mode again.

Then on the next dive there was a big difference in TTS between the two computers. The 2c had 25 minuttes less TTS than the 2n, when I began my ascend from 60 meters. During decompression the 2c slowly caught up with the 2n, and they were both out of deco at the same time.

I suspected that it had something to do with active gases settings or custom functions, but these are identical on both computers.
When simulating and on further dives, the pattern was the same. Significantly less TTS on the computer I had use in bail-out mode.

After rebooting the 2n, TTS is again the same for both computers.

Could this be a bug? Or is there something in the decompression-calculation, that I am not aware of efter a bail-out has been performed?

Best regards
