Two Questions:
I used the OSTC on my last Egypt trip for about 28h hours of diving time (23 dives in two weeks). The battery sign now shows about 1/2 of battery life left. Is it recommended to discharge completely before recharging?
I noticed that the OSTC activates itself quite late, sometimes I was already at 5m when the OSTC wake up. I changed the CF00 to 20cm which didn't changed the behavior? Not a serious problem but I think this is a bug anyway.
Btw. I used 1.30 with Nitrox and Air and it worked fine, NoFly time was quite impressive after two weeks compared to my Uwatec Since I travel without a notebook I really appreciate that all dives from a 2 week trip are stored in the logbook.
the battery don't need discharging before charging as it is a LIPO and not NICD so it don't have a memory-effect.
I had the same issue with the start-up.
With CF0 you only control the start of the dive but not the wakeup of the display.
To wake up the display more shallow you have to reduce the CF6-setting.
I'd recommend a full recharge whenever possible. LiPoly batteries do not have a memory effect as Reiner already wrote. I read that keeping them between 70 and 95% will provide the maximum life time. It's also quite important not to bring the battery to less then 0°C for a longer time.
CF0 sets the threshold for the dive mode when the unit is in surfacemode, CF6 configures to wake-up from sleep to surfacemode. Keep CF0 lower then CF6. We have changed default of CF6 in the last beta to 1,6m.
