Building the code

Post by Paul S »

I saw an OSTC for the first time this week (noticed the display in the water, and then talked to the owner afterwards). Looks like a very nice piece of hardware, but I wanted to get a feel for the software before I bought one.

I noticed the PDF file in the docu folder of the sourcecode release, and I hoped it would tell me what I needed to build the code for myself. When I looked at it all I got where 3 blank pages.

Is that document in an odd format?
Is there another document that will tell me what I need to build the code?

Thanks

Paul

actually you don't need to build the code. You can when you want to but there is a software already installed and ready to use. The algoritme is based on Buhlmann with gradient factors.

Hello Paul,

Seems a problem in the PDF file. I have a working version attached to this post!

I understand that, and that's how I expect most people to use it, but as an engineer who has written some deco code in the past I wanted to have a look, review it a bit, see if I can spot any bugs, etc

Maybe I'll even look at implementing some new stuff, but it would take me a while to get familiar with the code before I could do that.

Thanks, glad I wasn't going crazy. ;)

Did you write deco code with VPM-model? Maybe you can write sotware with VPM for the OSTC.
That would be great.
