Hi All,

Can't import dives from my OSTC sport to subsurface, download starts okay but after a few minutes i get a error message, 'DIVE DATA IMPORT ERROR' which I'm not able to fix.

Has anyone had the same problem and how was this resoled.

Mac computer, software MAC OS X Lion 10.7.5

Any help welcome

Hi Graham,

Which version is running on the OSTC Sport? If it's 10.16 then this is a known issue and an update to the latest version will fix this.

Running on version 10.18

This has been a probloem for me sins I've downloaded subsurface,

Ive just updated subsurface to 4.4.2 but hasn't help with this issue.

Running on version 10.18 and Ive just updated subsurface to 4.4.2 but hasn't help with my issue.

I've seen your post, but I can't help you here, sorry. Maybe you can post the "libdivecomputer protocol file" here? You have to enable the protocol file before downloading.

Can you try unpair mac and your sport, pair again.

I hv this experience once

Save a log file of your download and attach it here. Its the best way to debug such errors.

There's a checkbox in the Download dialog for creating a logfile.

Subsurface: "Hi!"
Device: "Bye!"


I'd test to re-pair your bluetooth connection and try again.

One thing i've seen is that when your battery is running a bit low you might get problems communicating over bluetooth, but the computer in general runs just fine. Try with a fresh battery to.

Hi All,

Tried deleting device and I've repaired OSTC Sport still not working, when i try to download from dive computer same error.

Battery is at 76% but i will try a new one.

Ive had this problem with subsurface sins I've downloaded this program, companion works great with bluetooth i don't think this is a bluetooth problem.

Hi , dive log is downloadable with 10.17 soft but unable with 10.18 same error that occur with 10.16 version .

Please check the dives in the internal logbook. Are there still dives with "10.16" firmware stored?

No theres not 10.15, 10.17, 10.18 no 10.16 dives stored.

That this has nothing to do with the (well understood) 10.16 download issue.

No, it only shows that there is no reaction from the OSTC to the Subsurface command.

But the information that it works with the 10.17 might give a clue where to search (Communication timeouts). Unfortunately I can't reproduce this error here (On MAC or Windows) at all.

It doesn't work on 10.17, as I've said its not worked sins I've downloaded this program.
