When I go Menu>More>O2 Sensor Menu for the first time after power up the sensor module is not found.
I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, but it seems like the board has to be connected for a few minutes before module search works. Once found I can disable, disconnect and reconnect repeatedly without problem.
Is this normal behavior?

Problem detecting O2 board
Re: Problem detecting O2 board
I believe the capacitors on the board need to be charged up by the OSTC before the board can be recognized by the OSTC.
After that they will keep there charge for some time even when disconnecting the board.

Re: Problem detecting O2 board
Hello,
Yes, the power supply from the OSTC is quite weak and the capacitor on the board has 0.2F. It may be at least 30seconds before it works when the capacitor is empty. We have changed the code so the charging of the O2 board is starting in any surface- or divemode. You don't have to go into the ppO2 sensor menu. If a HUD will not be used you could remove the 0.2F capacitor (Silver thing on the board) and replace it with 100uF, for example.
When using a HUD, an external power is required at the board. This will also result in immediate starting.
Cheers,
Matthias

I clocked mine and it took between 4 and 5 minutes before it was detected... I will make sure there is no connection between the wires, after that I will try with a smaller capacitor or external power.
Should I use a circuit breaker for external power, or will the O2 board go into sleep mode?

Re: Problem detecting O2 board
The O2 board does not have a sleep mode because it can be used independently with the HUD. So, a switch to disconnect the battery is required.

Re: Problem detecting O2 board
Replaced the capacitor with a 100 uF, now the O2 board is detected at once:)
