battery warning?

Post by Peter_O »

Hi!

I just got my OSTC and I like it! I will try dive it this weekend with the new 1.4 software...

But I can’t find any information at with voltage I should change the battery (at the latest)?

At with voltage does the low battery warning come and when does the computer dies?

Answer from Matthias in a previous post about battery:
"
I'd recommend a full recharge whenever possible. LiPoly batteries do not have a memory effect as Reiner already wrote. I read that keeping them between 70 and 95% will provide the maximum life time. It's also quite important not to bring the battery to less then 0°C for a longer time.
"
Lipoly battery's have the specification to drop slowly to a certain voltage and then drop quit fast to 0V! so keep it above 70% and you will be fine. Normally the battery lasts for 20 normal 1 hour dives but it's better to charge it more offtenly.

Hello,

I would recommend to fully recharge at 3,5V, the warning will be displayed at 3.3V and the unit will die at 2.5V. Frequent discharges below 3V should be avoided to maximize battery life.

Recharge and store the OSTC at room temperature.

Matthias
