OSTC sport manual and zoom

Post by ctTHEct »

Hello

1- Would it be possible for you to update the manual of the OSTC sport.
With the latest versions, the OSTC menus (specially the diving one) do not correspond any more with the actual manual that can be downloaded from the website.

2- Could we hope one day having the possibility to zoom in on the dive profile to benefit of a more accurate view of our dive ?

Thanks

Hi,

keeping the manuals up-to-date and adding new features is quite a work to do but we regularly update our manuals. OSTC2 and OSTC3 manuals are almost up-to-date, for example.

Sport will be updated, too. But I can't promise a date for this, sorry.

To 2): No, such a feature is quite unlikely to come.

Regards,
Matthias

I'd suggest you use a computer based software and download the data from for your dive computer and look at the profile on the computer.

I'd recommend Subsurface, which can be downloaded for free on https://subsurface-divelog.org/download/

Thanks but I would like to zoom on the profile just after getting out of the dive.
I'm diving instructor and I find very useful to see the ascent rate of my divers on the OSTC.

Hi Christian,

perhaps it is a workaround for you to see your dive profile with a Tablet or Smartphone.
The mobile app of subsurface is not able at the moment to transfer the dives directly to the Smartphone, but as I understood right they are working on it.
Meanwhile Divemate is able to directly transfer your dives directly to a smartphone or Tablet. Unfortunately you need to buy the Transfer Pack (I do not know if the Data Pack is enough). But to test the App with some dives is for free.

thanks for your for this idea but I do not feel like bringing with me my phone in this wetland ;-)
I suppose it could be possible to display the detail of the dive on the OSTC screen... just a willingness
