OSTC stayed in diving mode
OSTC stayed in diving mode
Normally I dive in fresh water. Recently I changed CF0 from 1OO to 3O
in fresh water no problems.
This weekend I went to the netherlands to dive in saltwater.
After the dive i went to simulation mode for a short time and afterwards the OSTC was in diving mode at 0,3m for the whole weekend!! I didn't have the USB charger to reset it.
I did 2 dives without any problems, only thing was that the divingtime was too high ofcourse but deco went fine.
Back home I did a reset and this was the error code:
BAFDrC 45 11
8 48 36 0 128
0 1 0 64 0
I put CF0 back to 100
Maybe there should be a possibility to reset the OSTC without USB charger from diving mode because while in diving mode I couldn't change the CF settings.

Re: OSTC stayed in diving mode
Hello Steve,
There is a software-reset function in the new 1.45 beta (See other post). The OSTC offset itself about these 30cm. That's why we set CF0 to 100...
Regards,
Matthias

@Matthias:
But you can't reboot the OSTC while it is in the dive-mode.
Reboot is only accessable in surface-mode.
If it hangs up during dive-mode, it can only be resetted with the interface and a USB-cord connected (computer or charger). That's what Steve means, I guess.

Re: OSTC stayed in diving mode
Yes, I didn't realize it correctly.... There is NO way to reset the OSTC from divingmode (Of course).

Re: OSTC stayed in diving mode
yes but in this case i wasn't diving. lucky the depth indicated was only 30cm otherwise the computer would saturate the different gasses.
I did 2 dives this way (real dives). time indicated was m56 :p
anyhow problem solved now

Re: OSTC stayed in diving mode
Hi,
why are you setting CF0 to 30 when the recommended range is 50 to 250?
30 cm is roughly 30 mbar so if the airpressure quickly raises from i.e. 980 mbar to 1020 mbar the OSTC is going to dive and will not surface as long as the airpressure is not dropping.
This could happen when travelling from a mountain area to sealevel or also from changing weather or a combination of both.
