Ostc2 locked after simulation sw 3.05

after doing two simulations, the computer crashed on the Simulation screen upon exiting the function. And so for 2 days. What can I do, it's a bug to fix in fw 3.05. Is the computer usable or better to send in assistance?

Hello Fabio,

did you take the screen shot after exiting from the deco calculation result screens? Is the computer frozen in the state you have taken the photo or can you still navigate in the menu system?

PS: if you can still navigate and exit the menu system, can you take a photo of the surface mode custom view showing the tissue saturation bars? This would help me in investigating the bug - thanks!

The computer is locked in the state in which the photo was taken and it is not yet possible to navigate in the menu system. It is blocked from Saturday on this screen.
I tried to recharge the battery and put the computer in the water, it always remains locked.

Ok, thanks for this information! Then your OSTC is not victim of the bug i am currently after, but the "general hang" bug that Matthias is working on. Your computer will recover once the battery has gone low (do not recharge meanwhile) and the display turned black. Only then do a recharge and the OSTC will soon pop back into life again.

I waited for the computer to shut down, I started charging, the computer turned on and rebooted and recharging started.

Hi Fabio,

We got one of these units in the hung-up state from a customer (We were not able to reproduce this before) and found the very hidden issue now.

It "only" happens in the single-language TECH firmwares (e.g. "305_EN_2_tr_ostc3_firmware.hex") and the sport firmwares on hardware versions (See information menu) 13-xx-xx and 5A-xx-xx.

All firmware hwOS sport 10.56 and later and all single-language TECH firmwares 3.03 are affected.

Due to the combined hardware/software nature of this bug only a few units are actually affected.

The bug is fully understood now and a fix will be provided later this day.

Sorry for the trouble here! I can assure you a lot happened here in the background after we heard about this issue.

update done, everything ok.
On restarting he asked me the type of battery, I put T4, for New Ostc2 is it correct? I put in charge, it stopped at 99%
I tried to browse the menus does not freeze, it's ok.
Tomorrow I'll try the diving.
