OSTC 4 freezing and Bluetooth issues

Hi,

After a long time I took my OSTC 4 for dive(s).

1. While trying to setup cc / oc gases computer freezed few times - had to wait until it powered of automatically.

2. My first idea is to update darn thing but bluetooth does not stay on. When enabling bluetooht in settings the check mark disappears after few second. Bluetoot device is not visible in laptop (windows) or mobile (android).

Anything I could try?

Hi Riku,

is the voltage of the battery shown? If you have not used the OSTC for a long time it could be extrem low.

From maintenance menu I can see voltage 3,89V at 73%

Hi Riku,

it looks like for some reason the bluetooth modul is offline. If I remember correct even if it is not communicating with the OSTC it should be visible for your computer. But it is not => I guess a hardware problem. I asked for the voltage because I hoped that it would be to low but 3.8V is a good condition.

The freezing you observe is most likely caused by the firmware which tries to establish a connection with the modul. The freezing should stop once the check mark is removed because the OSTC will no longer try to get connected to the modul. Removing the check mark manually should stop the freezing faster.

The bluetooth problem should have no impact to the diving mode because the bluetooth is disabled during dive.
