1.63 beta

Post by heinrichsweikamp »

Hallo,

Today, we uploaded the new 1.63 beta with some improvements which have been on our ToDo for quite a long time now. First, the clock can now be adjusted (New CF48). In some cases the internal clock is too slow. We introduced a fixed plus-offset in one of the last betas, now this is user-adjustable with 42 as the default.

CNS is now reset to it's original value after the simulation and OSTC Mk.2 users now can show the CNS in the surface screen (Set Threshold in CF15).

The new (self-sorting) Gas Setup was not very popular yet. It's still included in this version but (most likely) we'll change back to the old one in the next stable 1.70

Matthias & Christian

Made a couple of dives with it, seems to work perfectly. Thanks for the great job!

Wouldn't it be possible to have the self-sorting of the gaz as an option (CF)?

Hi Olivier,

Yes, this is possible. I'm not sure if this function would be needed from many users so I (personally) would keep one setup for all. Also easier for us to support.

Hello Matthias,
I just received the Mk2 recently and since one of my friends was quite excited about 1.62, I tried 1.63 last week. However I found a strange behavior in the gas setup. I had 3 time air, 1 Trimix and one Nitrox in the gas list, all of them enabled. After the firmware was successfully loaded, the order was changed so that all three 'air' gases are now G1 - G3. Since then, I wasn't able to change one of the three 'air' gases independently. When I change G1 to O2=25% all three change. When I select G1 as my first gas, G3 is actually chosen.
Besides that flaw on the computer itself I also are not able to modify it on my computer (which worked before). I use JDivelog on a Mac and I can download the setting but get an 'unkown error' with 'nothing selcted' in the details.
I will most likely go back to 1.60 for now, if you can't explain what is happening here?

Thanks, Jürgen

JPZ, you'll get some of your answers here. And you'll vote with me for HW to give us back the old Gaz Setup ;)

I have now made 9 dives between 30 to 66 meters with my Mk2 with FW 1.63.
And I also vote for the old gaslist..
I also get the velocity warning on descents, A bug?

Is it also possibly to show the clock in divemode, as an option (CF)?
A suggestion is to put it between "Depth" and "Divetime"...

Best Regards

Hallo Peter,

The velocity warning on descends was a bug, fixed in the just uploaded 1.65beta. GasSetup is simple as it was in the 1.60.

I'll keep that clock suggestion in mind...

Matthias
