Exact. There is a mistake here...
I suppose the mk1 version will follow once the BOOT is closed (30 jan), and people at HW safely returned home :)

Altimeter

Post by Jens »

Hallo,

Vielen Dank

@Jens:

Hello,

Surface pressure DO change the decompression stops (to allow you to go back to the surface). This is what enable you to use the OSTC for altitude dives.

The optional altimeter is JUST A DISPLAY. It is a translation of the surface presure average into meter.

Because this is a baro-altimeter, the altimeter reading depends of the calibration: the equivalent presure at sea level (given by some meteo forecast).
A typical weather change is roughly 1mbar/hour (slowly changing condition), ie. 8 meters. Stroms goes to about 32 meter/hour.
Actually, it also (slightly) depends on wind condition, specially in montain.

If you want a precise reading, you have to calibrate to a given sea-level reference (or at a known altitude). Then you can use it safely for a few hours.

Hope this helps,

I can't install the 1.80

I have followed instructions but the bootloader does not find the PIC.

I have installed the driver but it has activated COM11 bootloader shows only com 1 2 3 & 4.
I do reboot the MKII as I click write flash, still i get

Connected to \\.\COM11 at 115200
HEX: 9 days old, INHX32,18Fcode+cfg, total=87022 bytes.
Searching for PIC ...Not found,
ERROR!

Any advice ?

the letters at the bottomare the debug mode.

(I'm at work so can't give you the accurate path)

go to setup and then find debug mode (or similar) turn it off.

Not sure about the other pic. Have you noticed that you are still in 1.7

Try restarting the machine.

In der Version 1.8 kann ich die CF 09 nicht auf 22% stellen (laut der Liste der Benutzereinstellungen die Grundeinstellung). Alles über 20% wird als kritische Einstellung angezeigt.

Hi,

I tried to update the new 1.80 on a Win7/64-bit computer.... without success.

On my old Vista 32 bit it worked fine.

Are there any known issues?

Best regards

64 bit operating systems are more a headache than anything else. They ateare hardly compatible with a lot of hardware.

Try running the boot loader in 32 bit compatibility mode.

I am not sure to understand: what list of user settings ? You are setting CF09 with the OSTC ? With JDivelog (or something else) ?

Hello Jean-Do.

Looking into the wiki.

CF9:threshold in % (O2-Mix) for display of current gas in divemode
This value sets the threshold (O2-Mix in %) where the current gas is displayed during Divemode. Trimix-Gases are ALWAYS displayed.
Recommend range:
20 ... 30 (20%...30%)
Default setting:
22 (22%)
Example: CF9=22
Gases with 22 or more percent O2 or any Trimix-gas are displayed during Divemode. (All Gases but Air are displayed)

Cheers
