3m last stops

Post by alexasigno »

Hiya I've just received my OSTC. Haven't used it yet, but the screen looks fantastic, sure going to beat my old Suunto when it's dark and dingy below in Sydney's wrecks ;-)

I've just been trying to set it up correctly for this weekend's diving, but one thing I am unsure of and hope you can help.

I would like to turn off the 3m stop and not sure how to do it? I understand that it probably will just calculate the deco on the fly, but I don't want it to keep prompting me to ascend up to 3m.

Your experience would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi mate,

I'm in sydney and been using the OSTC for a while now.

If you wish give me a call to my mobile on **15 152 091

BTW the 3m stop is just the depth of the last stop. The OSTC will not ask you to perform a 3 min safety stop if the alogrithm doesn't require you a mandatory stop.
It lets you change it as some ccr divers or someone with 100% O2 will prefer 6m as their last stop. however the deco profile will change depending on where you ask the last stop to happen.

If you choose to do the 3min at 5 or the other way around its up to you really.

Best regards

Hi,

have a look at CF 29, there you can choose the minimum depth of the last stop.

Just to add:

As stated in the CF list http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/en/ostc ... functions/ you can only choose between 3m and 6m here.
