New Logbook Graph-scale - suggestion

Post by Chilihead »

here a "stolen" pic from the problem with the depth reading-thread

the visibility will be better if the time-scale is fitted like the depth-scale.
... at this example: not 10min + 10min ... just 10min + 6min ... and you can see more details...

It is... If there are not enough samples to fit the screen, the graph is shown as it is and not stretched to fit the screen (Which won't add any more detail).

Cheers,
Matthias

P.S.: These "+1" posts... please... They just add noise to the threads.

Other than "+1" how else would you like us to show support for an idea?

What would you think about that kind of display (Painted picture with PhotoShop !):

- Time scaled (just as depth is) to match the width of the screen,
- Ceiling shown as blocky background,
- Gas changes as color for that blocks.

Looks not soo bad JeanDo :-). Why not change the color of the depth line for gas change? Then you can also recognize it when there is no deco (at all/anymore) and which is common in jdivelog?

Concerning the +1: I also think this is quite an easy way for voting!

Thx,
Jan

Hello JeanDo,

image for the logbook looks good and I like it just the way it is. What about the bugs in gas usage? When can we expect a new beta? The Mk.2 is getting better and better, thank you and keep it up.

Regards and safe dives Uwe S.

I'm liking that too (aka +1)

Changing the colour of the line would be nice to show gas switches.

great that this idea will be processed as quickly! The display as a line but look sophisticated. (not drawn to paint)

I find your work really well.
