Guys, I have one problem with the HUD when using the Smithers code.
The HUD works normally uptil 0,9 (1 RED flash), but when the pp02 reaches 1,00 , the HUD plays dead (should flash RED and GREEN together).
Anyone out there using the Smithers, does your setup show 1,00 ppO2 like it should?
My current LED-setup is 1 RED and 1 GREEN with common ground.
If I switch to DS-1 code and adjust the HUD setpoint to 0,21, the GREEN LED is flashing at air, so it`s not broken.
Maybe the common ground is causing the problem, since 1,00 ppO2 is the only time, when both LEDs are supposed to flash at the same time?
H&W couldn`t answer my question, hopefully someone here can.
It`s not a big deal, but would like to find out why it`s happening.
Problem with Mk1 and HUD/Smithers code
Re: Problem with Mk1 and HUD/Smithers code
Attached are the O2-board diagrams. "External LED" is for a normal HUD via a cable, and "Direct LED" for setups when then LEDs are connected to the O2-board. My HUD is with a cable.
Would it make any difference, if I "borrow" the ground from slot 3 (unused now)and connect either the RED or GREEN LED negative wire to it?
The LED-ground would still be shared, but at least not bridged between slot1 - slot2.
Damn, DIY-leccies give me a headache
