New 1.86 beta available for the Mk.2
Hello,
Another beta release! The 1.86 fixes the issue with the onboard-simulator. Suggested runtime is less kamikaze now. Also, the average depth in Logbook is fine now.
Und noch ein beta release! Die 1.86 behebt das Problem mit dem Onboard-Simulator. Die ausgerechneten Pläne sind jetzt weniger tödlich. Außerdem funktioniert die Durschnittstiefe im Logbuch jetzt.
Gruß,
Matthias

Hallo,
Matthias

Hi guys,
First of all, thank you so much it looks and feels beautiful. Love the gas calculation. Would love to have a function to recalculate the simulation with a lost deco bottle.
Now there is a bug that is not really a bug.
If cf55 is used to extend the gas switch the switch gets reported as a deco stop from the very beginning. It's neither good nor bad but I would like to have an indication of when the dive actually goes into mandatory decompression. i.e. not have that extended desired but optional gas switch shown until there is some real deco
The other thing I noticed was a new menu that I suppose is used to activate/deactivate gases whilst diving
Menu > Gas list > More > Active? > 50/0@0
Now after playing with this area and once I was back to the main screen I notice that the mandatory stop shown by the extended gas change was gone. The NDL's/first mandatory stop was being shown. However, It came back after I checked the Decoplan.
I was thinking that this could actually become the desired behaviour. i.e. the extended stop is shown on the deco plan but the NDL is shown until there is mandatory deco obligation.
Thanks so much guys.

Re: New 1.86 beta available for the Mk.2
Great job!
I share Dmainou's report, several simulation carried out with this new beta and no main problems appeared!
Compared to DivePlanner (adjusted) the decoplans were very similar with one gas, closer with 2 gas and identical with 3 gas used (CF55 & CF16 = 0).
The only little thing which came out a couple of times: when on simulator--->Gaslist--->more and also in --->active? part of the gas listing disappared and some of the underneath letters appeared (see attached picture).
Very cool the gas consuption (CF56&57 related) and even more the "gas lost" option during diving!
Avarage depth on logbook ok, but what the gas colors mean?
Proposal: to introduce the possibility to automaticaly change color of the decostop values when in the stop range (in according with CF16), this in order to make more evident that the deco stop has been reached.

Re: New 1.86 beta available for the Mk.2
hab einige merkwürdige Dinge beobachtet...
Aktiv-Gas ist in jedem menü anders...
Gas-Einstellungen:
[pre]
G1:*AIR 21 in 0m (aktive)
G2:*AIR 21 in 0m (not-aktiv)
G3:*AIR 21 in 0m (not-aktiv)
G4:*NX 50 in 21m (not-aktiv)
G5:*O2 100 in 6m (not-aktiv)
[/pre]
soweit, sogut...
Im Simulator unter "Gasliste" wird folgendes angezeigt:
[pre]
G1:21/0 (aktiv)
G2:21/0 (aktiv)
G3:21/0 (aktiv)
G4:50/0 (not-aktiv)
G5:100/0 (not-aktiv)
[/pre]

That happens when the overlay simulator menu is active and the dive switches between a NDL and deco situation. Should be fixable

Depth profile will change color depending on what gas you have selected during the dive. If you see the profile in a single color, you didn't change gas on this dive.

I went for a double nodeco dive with 1.86 beta on and backup beside. Nothing to report, everything smooth.

Re: New 1.86 beta available for the Mk.2
I was simulating a dive in JDiveLog as in Picture 1 with the following settings:
Firmware 1.86beta
Decotype: L16-GFOC
GAS1: AIR - Active
GAS4: EAN40- Active
CF16:1
CF18: 1.55
CF29: 5
CF32: 30%
CF33: 90%
CF55: 1
CF56: 17
CF57: 17
At minute 22 I passed the switch gas depth (30 mtr), stopped at 29 mt. and the Mk2 showed as in picture 2. Gas changed @ 29mtr and I got 2' @ 30 mtr in red (picture 3). Went down to 30 and stopped for 1 minute. Is it strange?

(Henning Sponbiel in de.org.ccc)
