OSTC_Planner

Post by tku »

Hallo,

kann mir jemand sagen wofür diese Software OSTC_Planner_49.201.459 ist.

https://bitbucket.org/heinrichsweikamp/ ... /downloads

Nach dem Bild geht es ja leider nicht weiter mit der Installation ausser man hat einen Key ;-)

Too late! ;)

What do you use to calculate the deco? The OSTC itself
or do you use somehow code from the firmware?

This has got me interested!

Yes, looks like you need a key, is this going to be open source or commercial?

Any idea on timescales?

Frustrating to have the software and not be able to install it to check it out :)

I have tried my OSTC's serial number and it was not accepted...

...and a few of the others on the forum, including the author's and they didn't work either?

Hello,

Sorry for the buz ;-)
OSTC Planner is just a program that runs the OSTC decompression code, and enable to test all parameters (and especially futur ones).

Not yet sure of its futur life.
But actually, I might need a few advanced tech divers, wanting to test and feedback. Please email me motivated requests for a personal serial number.

Regards,

Edit: version 54 is just minor cosmetic stuff. No need to upgrade.

i looked in the ostc code and I was able to
compile it on my linux box.. and imho
having a deco planner which code is
based on real dive computer firmware is
great idea.

would you accept patches, which could
allow to build a library out of ostc deco code?

I'd like to do some calculations and tests for CCR dives if the code is running on linux (compiling is fine for me).

Have no idea about the functionality right now but being able to replay and modify existing dive profiles would be cool. Modifing should include GF settings, Set point, Gas, Bailout. Also Bailout calculation would be very helpful.

Thx,
Jan

Hello,

The program expose all dive parameters in a single window, so you can tweak them easily and try various gas, setpoint and/or settings. Allow to run simple simulation (eg. 20'@42m) or multi-level ones at top speed (a few seconds on my laptop for a 40'@60m dive). Shows runtime on the console, and plot nice dive profiles with a choice of depth, ceiling, GF, ppO2 and CNS O2...

Main purpose was to test all the features introduced since 1.70, from last December. Last version (>50) have bailout runtimes and gas estimation added, as well as setpoint changes for TTS/runtime calculations (not yet in beta 2.01).

It is a windows app (32bits, seven).
