OSTC planner for mac users
Will be possible in future to upload firmware with a new version of OSTC planner for Mac users as is the case with bootdownloader for win?
I hope so cause I'm not able yet to upload with jdivelog even though I followed all the procedures in my macbook air macosx 10.7.3; in jdivelog, reinstalled several times, I can't choose OSTC in the driver pull down menu.
The com port correctly works because my MK2 is recognized by OSTC Planner or MacDive planner.

Did you run software update on your mac-os? maybe there's a new java-runtime?

Also you need to be aware that the instructions for the FTDI drivers with jDiveLog are not quite up to date.
You need to first install the FTDI drivers from here:
Virtual Com Port Drivers
Only after installation of the com port drivers should jDiveLog be installed...

Did you try to run JDiveLog as root?
JDiveLog as root:
To run as root:
1. Open terminal
2. enter: sudo su root
3. enter: /Applications/JDiveLog.app/Contents/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub
If this works, your problem is that 'you' are not in the _uupc group.
Where 'you' is your account on your Mac.
You get to know your account name if you execute:
whoami
in a terminal
To make an new group on your Mac and add your account to that group, execute the following commands:
first switch to 'root' :
sudo su root
Create a group with groupname _uupc:
sh-3.2# sudo dscl . -create /groups/_uupc
Give that group _uupc a groupid 66
sh-3.2# sudo dscl . -append /groups/_uupc gid 66
Add a user bruno to group _uupc
sh-3.2# dscl . append /Groups/_uupc GroupMembership bruno
Check group membership of user bruno:
Bruno-Van-Bogaerts-MacBook:~ bruno$ id
uid=501(bruno) gid=20(staff) groups=20(staff),401(com.apple.access_screensharing),204(_developer),100(_lpoperator),98(_lpadmin),81(_appserveradm),80(admin),79(_appserverusr),61(localaccounts),12(everyone),66(_uucp),402(com.apple.sharepoint.group.1)
[note from the author: I added the bold type]

Re: OSTC planner for mac users
If your com-port is in use, check if you have any other hardware (most likely a camera or mobilephone?) attached to USB... Try to unplug all other hardware and try it again.

Re: OSTC planner for mac users
Hi
I purchased planner back in February for my macbook, changed over to iMac last week but had to download planner again. Do i need to purchase another activation code or would you expect them to be able to supply a replacement code??
I've tried to contact ostc planner via email to get new code but getting no response.
