setting first deco stop?

Post by neil richardson »

Hi All,

Im kinda a half VPM half gradiant factor guy, so when planning, i normally put in a forced stop at half my depth, but then dont commence my stops until 21m.

SO, with the OSTC, any way we can do this?? im still new to it, so....

Just do the stops you like to do "manually" and ignore everything until you reach 21m. The OSTC will show you correct deco onwards (and will not fault due to missed stops). Deepstops are not implemented and according to some threads in here they will not be officially supported in the near future. You can set the unit to show your current GF (including warning thresholds) which may be of interest to you...

Interesting, thanks for that.

Like the idea of being able to see the GF i am actually diving to, as i suspect what i plan on my home PC will be different to what i dive.

Hence, you able to advise how to do that?

thanks in advance.

Please check the CF, there are some possibilities. These CF might be relevant for you:

CF8 - Treshold for displaying current GF, I've set this to 1% to see my GF once one of my issues starts offgasing (there is also a nce tissue graph for N2 uand He availablke in the custom submenu in the lower right part of the display)
CF14 - Alarm treshold for GF, similar to CF45?
CF32 - GF low
CF33 - GF high (max. 95%, you will receive a warning otherwise)
CF45 - Treshld for curent GF, will be displayed in red once reaching this value

There might be more, plese check for yourself:

Which GF settings are you usually diving? Are you using a CCR?
