I would expect a warning when set to less than one ( 20).
Currently a warning occurs when set to >10 and no warning is given when set to <10, which, in my mind, is rather silly.

Why is this behavior silly in your opinion? When set to 0, the unit simply shows the real decotime at a given depth without any increase for staying below this depth during deco. But if you set the cf to >10, the TTS that is shown by the unit may increase tremendously. What I don't understand is why a warning occurs in the recommended range (but I think that a deco offset of 2m is too high anyway)!?

Silly because you only will get realistic TTS prediction values when this parameter is set between 10-20, ie 1 to 2 meters below stop depth. And because it is within the recommended range the warning occurs.
A setting of 1m below stop depth works for me, but I can imagine that some instructors and dive-masters will find the setting of 2m below stop depth useful. PADI teaches a safety stop at 5m, when diving below 10-15m or so.
But of course you are right to say that a setting >10 is silly when doing technical dives with Nitrox/Trimix.

The OSTC is intend for decompression diving. Safety stops are highly recommended for any dives but the OSTC does not request one.
