Hi,
If you ask they might introduce a safety stop for the frog.
MK2 and DR5 are intended for tecdivers.
Frog is intended sport-divers.
I absolutly agree.
There is no need for a Safety Stop function in the 2N, it was a tongue in cheek comment. This function should be integrated with the frog. See my thoughts to this issue in the above mentioned thread.

I agree. This is the only thing on my wish list at present. I know the pressure sensor has a max depth rating but making a conscious design decision to shutdown the device at 130m is crazy.
Can it at least be made configurable so that I can turn off the default setting and it will be my choice to run the device at this depth with full info and bear the consequences?
P.S. this limitation is preventing several of my diving buddies from investing in OSTCs. They are not interested in DR5. Again this may affect if I have to sell my OSTC in lieu of a device that can perform at a greater max depth rating.

I'm on CCR and between my onboard diluent, offboard bailouts and the gases on the emergency drop sets and/or staged cylinders I have more than 5 gases available for the open circuit bailout. It would be nice to configure all of these and in the order I need to use them for efficiency sake in a stressful situation.

Not sure if anyone feel the need? May I am not aware of this features available. It will be nice if I can enter the starting and ending pressure, this is good for multiple gas, multiple dives per day or a dive trips.

Don't you think that this is something for your logbook
on your PC/Handheld or on Paper?
Yes, that's right I should mark that into my logbook.
Yet, if I hv such option to key in remaming gas pressure, I guess it will be a bonus if I can store into computer so when I download later to the electronic logbook, everything will be there instantly.
I see absolutely no reason to have something implemented in the OSTC which has no function, other than to make it easier to download the information to the Logbook. I am not aware of any other dive computer which would allow for that and most certainly not one in the area of tec diving.
If you want accurate information on your gas usage you should purchase an air integrated dive computer. There is plenty of those on the market.
This goes in the direction of the discussion about the implementation of the safety stop functionality of which I am absolutly no fan, but at least in that case the OSTC would do something "activ", namely counting down the time until the safety stop has been completet.
If you actually look at how you would need to enter information/numbers in the three digit range into the OSTC, its an awful lot of fiddling to get them added and thats if you use Bar. You'd be a hundered times quicker to write it down on a piece of paper.
A scrubber timer would really be useful, just "raised". A simple counter or storing the dive number when it got refreshed the last time would be enough...
Thx,
Jan

Hi Folks,
Love my OSTC2n, cant see me needing anything more than this.
However, only 1 thing really niggles me...
Can we have the "Exit" option at the TOP of every menu instead of the bottom?
This would save a LOT of button presses after setting gasses etc as sometimes you have to escape through a few menus to get back to the home screen, each one requiring you to scroll to the bottom of it to reach the exit option.
Alternatively, after "Exit" maybe another Option of "Go Home" which closes all menus and goes back to the home screen?
