Dear all,
I just got my brand new ostc3 which works perfectly until now.
I've opened the battery cap few minutes, then closed it back.
I've seen the "new battery" menu and choose "old battery"
Then the computer shut down normally after 1 minute
Then the screen remains black : no way to display anything even tough I see back lighting on the screen.
Can you please give me advice ?
Bye
Rougaille.

Hello Rougaille,
I opened also the battery cap of my OSTC3 and closed it after some minutes.
The screen remains black, but I don`t remember to see the battery menue. Then I opened the battery cap again and exchange the battery.
The screen is still black and I can see the back light.
Do still have a black screen?
Did you do something aditional?
Mario

Re: OSTC 3 black screen
More details :
When I screw the USB cap, the screen turns to black, buttons are ineffective.
I didn't screw to far, just enough to lock the cap and make it waterproof.
If I unscrew the cap, after one minute everything reboots correctly with screen on.
The problem can be reproduced any time.
It seems that the cap is pushing the main board from inside : i see that the USB connector in the bottom of the hole exceeds from 1 or 2 millimeters.
Is the cap too long ? Is the USB connector too high ?
