V2.70 Diluent and Gases

Post by Jean-François »

I have a quick question about the new CCR Menu Diluent.

In that menu I can set up my CCR Diluent(s) for the dive. It's a great idea so I can enter all (I only have 2 for now) the diluent I'm using and only activate the one relevant for the actual dive. But then I cannot turn G1 (which was my diluent until the new menu) inactive in the Gas menu.

My understanding is that when diving CCR I would enter my diluent on the CCR Menu Diluent and my BO on the gas menu. What am I missing ? If I can't turn all G1-G5 gases to inactive (or remove the first gas), what is the point of the CCR Diluent Menu ?

Thank you

Hi...

For example I have three diluent gasses (Air, Tx15/50, Tx10/70) and four bailout- and deco-gasses (Air, Tx15/50, Nx50, O2).

The three diluents are programmed under the new Diluent-meny in any order, the BO and deco-gasses under the old GasList.

The diluent used for the dive is marked as Active. The BO is marked as Active and First Gas. The deco-gasses to be used, carried by yourself or in the team, are marked as Active only.

In CCR-mode all dive calculation are done with the actice Diluent and the used Setpoint.

If the OSTC is set to Bailout, the TTS is calculated with the active OC-gasses with gasswitch at correct depth, starting with the "Active and First" as BO.

Alright.

I got it.

Thanks a lot. It makes complete sense. I was afraid that the deco calculation would have been using the Gas in the gas menu and not in the diluent.

Thanks for clearing that up.
