Building MD2 Hash?

I have been trying to connect my unit (v1.30) to DiveLog and JdiveLog (unsuccessfully).
After pressing the reset button I get the follow message on the device:


Builiding MD2 Hash
Please Wait...

I presume this is a normal check after the reset has been pressed?

The machine then goes blank and switches on normally.

Hello,

This is a fingerprint of the actual firmware installed in the OSTC. It's built once after any reset or firmware update.

It's normal.

Btw, it is not required to press the reset button for downloading, the OSTC must only be switched on and in surface mode.
