Timing Deco

Post by Jean-Pierre Baudu »

Hello,

Sorry for my English that is not so good

This mail just to tell, you that y do many dives as caving diver in France

Y have bought on hove your computer, model -------- that y am vary happy

By the way ! y had a BUG wit it, in simulation and as well in reel dive

At the bottom on the right side of the scram you have three digit for the timing DECO

When you in dive and that you com back to the surface, the computer stop?s at two numbers (99) Only tow digit?s is working

By the way if you cheek the rest of the DECO this won dos the déconte normally

It is only a problem of digit limitation at 2 numbers

It wills by great if you can do an involution to this problem

Great thanks to you

Received my best sportive regards

Jean-Pierre,

The display(posting) of the time(weather) of gone back up(raised) jams in 99 minutes while you have much more landing than it quant you view your time(weather) of landing I noticed it in simulation and in reality I think that it is just a problem of display(posting) because when you begin your dive you have of indicated 160mn before saturation We Can modify this problem? Ok,

Does the OSTC is still calculating deco when it is display: 99min in decosum?

Is there a possibility to have one digit more, to display 124 min for example.

Thanks

Hello Antoine,

We'll check if this possible w/o too much interference of other functions (Calculations of such amount of deco requires quite a lot of CPU usage).

Thanks Matthias,

With Trimix or special diving as is doing Jean-Pierre, it could go to long decosum. But if I have well understood, the decosum time could be calculated by taking care of the deco gaz or it is just calculated following the gaz selected ?

Does this means that the OSTC will not display a deco longer than 99 minutes (if you dive to 100 meters you get pretty quickly above 99 minutes total deco)?

Hello,

Limit to 99' was introduced to give some space on the display. We have removed it again for the next version. Hard (display) limit is 199'.

Hello
Why limited to 199’ deco?
Is it not possible to put 999’ deco as the VR3?
You can always put a reserve on a use beyond 199’ of the deco.
I dive in cave with a double SCR.
I stay for a long time in the zone of 60m (90 ') and more important projects.
I make my redundancy with tables calculated on Decoplan and Gap

Some comments from Jean-Pierre about the decoplan display:

1) Could it be possible to set the decoplan display (CF ?) like this: standard as now, second the user could use a the switch to leave it. Jean-Pierre writes the information of the decoplan on his wetnotes (in case the computer crash) but it is either to display to quickly to write or even the time taken by calculation is longer than the time of dispaly.

2) Could decoplan could be set in 999' format (since it looks not possible for the computer display) for the total deco time and the deco time at 6 or 3 m ?
