Downloads bugged?

Post by Joery »

Hi,

Question: Are the downloads from HW mainpage for a OSTC 2N bugged or glitched? Nothing seems to work. I tried Bootloader, OSTC tools and JDiveLog. They simply wont run.
At one point, i got 1 to download , and its an exe file. Ok, no problem. Its like everything. But when i tried to run this, it says: "cant open file" ..
How is it possible not to be able to open an exe file? It s not even supposed to 'open', its supposed to 'run' ..
Therefor; Anyone else with this problem? And what did the trick?
Sorry to sound irritated, but i'm trying this for hours now.

Oh the irony

Right after this topic, i had something like "ok, one more try.."
And i got the OSTC Config to work. So, thats helpfull.

But really tho, the exe files wont go as it should be.. Download, save to harddive, C:/ , other drive wont work, and run from saved download. Thats how i got it to work.

Maybe this helps someone also..

Enjoy ur dives!!

eeeehm, the file sent by the HW server is an .zip file, not an .exe Maybe you got something wrong with the extensions or you don't have an un-zipper programm installed?

Well, no. they download as exe files, not zip's. But with a weird twist tho..
Normaly its:.exe, now it was:_exe.
I thougt it didnt matter.
Anyway, everything is fine now. I seem to manage to install something.
Tyvm for the reply.

I tried different firmware at http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/?id=479 and i'm only getting .zip files offered for download. There's is something wrong with your PC - check for malware...!
