Sport, BT & Wind10

Hello

I'm not able to connect my Sport to my computer (Win 10) with BT (I have a Asus BT400 dongle).

No problem between Sport & a Samsung "tablet" (by DiveMate) ; link has been established within a few seconds.

Ok between the Samsung tablet & my comptuer (but not so easy to win !).

And nothing with my Sport.

I see 2 different ports (8 & 11, I don't know why two ! ; both are mentionned "input" "entrant" in french), everything seems to be ok, but just seems !

Subsurface : "error, unable to connect Sport"
Companion : same kind of message
For both ports.

To be noticed : Companion is very slow as I want go inside parameter menu and bug several times.

Anybody has an idea ?

Hello,

It seems that there is some incompatibility with the new Windows 10 Bluetooth stack and the current OSTC PC Programs: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... b46?page=1

While the described work-around worked here on a WIN10 PC, it failed on another. So there definitely is some issue here we need to fix.

We're already discussing this with PC program developers and ask for your patience here.

regards,
Matthias

hallo,

Looks like the issue is beeing fixed with a Windows-Update soon (Hopefully): http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... b46?page=3

I can confirm that this is fixed in a preview build (10532) of Windows 10.

Just tested with subsurface (daily beta build) and updating firmware, changing dive computer settings and downloading dives all worked.

Edit:
I tested using a Bluetooth OSTC3+ (non sport) but mine also didn't work using the release build of Windows 10.

Hi,

Thanks for the information - Our research clearly indicates a faulty Win10 bluetooth implementation and that Microsoft is going to release a fix for this soon.

Matthias

Fine !

That works on Companion ; I made the 10.20 update.

But not with Subsurface (4.5 beta 2).

Hum hum, how to say ...

Now, the link by BT with Subsurface is ok but when I try to take parameters from Sport, that stops at 92%.

Done 2 ou 3 time without anything else.
