Safety Stops OSTC2
Hi
I have just received a replacement for a 2c, on the 2c you could define your own parameters for safety stops, is there any chance this could be added to a future firmware update?

I agree,
on OSTC 2C was possible to set up for example the safety stop from 6m to 3m, while with OSTC 2, the safety stop starts only above 5m. I am a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and I HAVE to teach students to make the safety stop, staying alone at 4.5m, while all my staff is with students at 6m

It was also possible to have safety stops come in after user defined depths had been reached, I like to carry my safety stops out at 6m also!

Re: Safety Stops OSTC2
I never thought that this "feature" of a safety stop in a dive computer would be of _any_ interest... Seems that we were wrong (again) about this.
There are already a few custom functions in the hwOS firmware (Settings that can only be changed trough the PC interface (USB or Bluetooth). It's not unlikely that we add parameters for the safety stop to this set of customs functions.
regards,
Matthias

Hi Matthias
This would be great, it was a really useful feature on the 2c, be good to see it on the 2
Thanks

Hi Matthias,
I'm wrong, or on new FW 1.90 is still not possible to set the safety stop from 6m to 3m?
Thanks

Re: Safety Stops OSTC2
Any news about the safety stop settings? It would be great to set the safety stop to start from 6m where I usually do my oxygen stop.

Has the latest update 10.21 changed the safety stops on the sport, as, as I'm sure you are aware, it can be set at 6m but is only effective above 5m?

Re: Safety Stops OSTC2
Don't mix up "Last Stop" with the "Safety Stop". "Last Stop" is the last computed deco stop (3,4,5 or 6m). "Safety stop" (+/-1m) is the area where the "Safety Stop" countdown is displayed when doing a no-deco dive which was deeper then 10m. This value is currently fixed to 4m. Adjusting the value will be added, but not in the 10.22 release.
Btw. there are reasons we put this stop between 3-5m. Stopping at 6m (+/-1m) = 7m at the worst case has no to little influence on the actual safety. Difference between ambient pressure and tissue pressure (For a typical no-deco recreational dive) is too low to have any significant effect on actual desaturating.

Matthias
