During a ccr dive i noticed my NDL time was displaying 0 for 16 minutes. From 19-34 minutes. I kept a faily constant depth during that time.
Can this be true or did something go wrong?
Note that I did toggle the aGF a few times during the dive.

Re: NDL=0 for 16 minutes
Hello,
Your profile with a setpoint of 1.3bar is just at the edge between 1min NDL and 1min@3m. So, yes: This looks a bit wired but happens for profiles like this. NDL routine does not include the ascend and deco calculations include the 10m/min ascend. NDL routine results in 0min NDL but Deco routine has no deco because the ascend would clear the few seconds deco stop at 3m before reaching the 3m stop. Displayed result: 0min NDL but no deco stop.
Hope this helps,
Matthias

Re: NDL=0 for 16 minutes
Thank you for the explanation.
However, this leaves the NDL time "untrustworthy" for dives in this depth range? or was I particular unlucky with this exact profile?
I know: "plan your dive" and all that, but it is pretty neat to know when the deco hammer will start hitting.
Would it be a big deal to include the ascent in the NDL time? I am trying to think of reasons why this may not be smart, but haven't yet found any.
What are your thoughts?
Dennis

Re: NDL=0 for 16 minutes
Hi Dennis,
From the safety perspective it doesn't matter if you have 0min NDL or 1min@3m deco. But I agree that this behaviour is a bit odd. In any case we recommend doing some extra minutes (aka Safety Stop) for all dives.
regards,
Matthias
