cf25 is not described in the wiki.
it is for deco debugging purposes, isn't it? is it safe
to switch it off by setting it to 0?

Re: cf25
Hello,
it is safe to operate the OSTC with debugging set to either 1 or 0.
When debugging is on and you have a fault it is more easy for HW to reproduce the fault.
When debugging is off it might not always be posible to reproduce the fault.
I believe when debugging is switched on it will use some processing capacity so deco calculation will slow down a bit.

Re: cf25
Hello Reiner,
Correct. It can be switched off without negative consequences, it has no noticeable effect on the performance if switched on.
regards,
Matthias

Re: cf25
thanks for the responses.
i am just trying to save few kilobytes of logbook memory
for my next trip
maybe it could be good idea to connect it somehow with
debug option which is visible in setup menu? when debug
is off then automatically don't save deco debugging info
in ostc memory?

Re: cf25
Hello,
Setting the sampling rate to 15 or 20 seconds is the easiest way to do so....

Matthias

Re: cf25
well... indeed, but on other side, please correct me
if i am wrong, cf25 is 9 bytes every minute, which
is about 25% of memory, isn't it?
now, on my last trip i made 17h of diving. ostc can
log 15h with standard settings and cf25 switched on.
switching it off shall give about 4h of logged data
more, right?
personally, i prefer to switch off cf25 instead of changing
sampling rate for a holiday trip. of course, this is different
when trying a new firmware, but then it is just few dives,
so debug can be switched on... and still no need to change
sampling rate
