Hi,
I’ve been diving with my OSTC2N for many years and is very satisfied with it. When I saw another one (used) up for sale I bought it to have a back-up.
To be sure they would match each other I made sure to go through every single menu to make sure all the settings were correct and of course to set the gradient factors exactly the same.
I dove with them both a few days an ago and when one of them showed 0 (zero) minutes dive time left the other showed 8 (eight) minutes left!
Today I compared two simulated dives, both to 36 meters for 53 minutes and got two different sets of tables, one for each computer…
Now I don’t know which one to trust.
During the dive the computers were both on my right arm and they both have the latest update. They both show the same pressure at the surface (today 996 mbar).
Any ideas?
Best regards from Sweden

Re: Two OSTC 2N showing different stops and times
Hello,
The software in the OSTC is deterministic, so it always shows the same output for the same input conditions. So something is not the same with both OSTCs. Same firmware? Are all settings really the same? If in doubt, reset both OSTCs via the reset menu (Reset CF, Gas & Deco) and try again.
Greetings,
Matthias

Thanks,
It seemed to help, at least in simulation mode. I will post again after diving. I cannot for the love of god figure out which setting was different…
