Hi all !
I just received my OSTC mk2. It’s as nice as I expected.
There is just one drawback: the temperature sensor shows a high value (28.5 to 31°C) while the temperature of the room is around 20°C. I tried to reset the temperature with JDiveLog but a message appears telling the communication timed-out. The computer resets but the temperature is not updated. JDiveLog worked well from scratch to update the computer parameters and make the simulations thus I didn’t change any parameters on the port settings.
Is this due to the fact that the batteries are charging?
Is it because of a problem in JDiveLog?
Is it because the communication protocol is different to update the temperature?
Thank you!

Re: Temperature reset
Hello,
The temperature compensation function is no longer used and required due to a bug fix in the sensor routine. Right now, this setting has no effect on the actual temperature. During charge the unit may heat up a few degrees and it requires at least 10 minutes in air to get the actual temperature correct after disconnecting the charger or after the charge is done.
Regards,
Matthias

Re: Temperature reset
Hello,
Mea culpa. I made some tests with a thermocouple and it seems that the temperature is actually correct now. It might have been the first charge that rose the temperature of 5 degrees.
Thank you.

Hello,
Sounds OK, the Mk.2 dissipates (=Heat) about 0,75W when charging.
regards,
Matthias
