ResetAvr v1.80
ResetAvr v1.80
Hello,
(During simulation) the ResetAvr resets the stopwatch and not the average depth. Should it not be called ResStopW?
Also the lower right corner in dive mode toggles between stoptwatch->time->average depth->0->stopwatch... In stopwatch mode the average depth is also visible. Is the average depth really needed?
Thank you,
Vizipok

Re: ResetAvr v1.80
Sorry,
My bad. I now see that the depth is also reset. Makes sense.

Re: ResetAvr v1.80
There are now two average depths, one resettable with the stopwatch and one total dive average which is not resettable. One of the most wanted feature requests for the 1.80
Cheers,
Matthias

Can Please someone tell what's the need to have this average depth thing which comes uo very other day in here?

+1
I don't mind having the feature as long as I can configure to turn it off please.

Hi Solodiver,
some alpinist divers calculate their deco by a thump-rule via time and average deep.
They only thrust their own incooperated deco computer ( brain ).

Re: ResetAvr v1.80
Just let me sort this out: Guys who don't trust any computer at all using a higly integrated thing like the OSTC just to get the average depth?
And therefore has to be done so much work and changes? I think there are other things to do which would satisfy me (at least
more.
That said lets become off topic: Due to switching to a CCR I'm stuck to an integrated Shearwater Predator now. The colors of the Predator are awful and hard to read and there is no way to customize them, but seems to do the job. I liked the OSTC more and think it would'nt be that tricky to extend it (or a sucessor) to integrate O2 sensor readings and steering a solenoid. But there are a few things on the SW which one should have a look for it to get it adapted to the OSTC. One thing could be this @5 value which shows the deco expected when staying 5 minutes longer on the current depth and seems quite helpful for me. Shouldn't be that complicated to integrate.
BTW: There is also no END/EAD Display on the SW as requested by me for the OSTC several times. But to be honest, there is a average depth notification...

Did you ever though that the reason you don't get an answer to these request is that this is available already? Are you actually using the OSTC??

Solodiver:
there's a HW Computer available reading O2-cells, have a look at the DR5 ;->.
By the way, a standard Predator can not control a solenoid either, only the hardwired OEM version for revos f.e. can do that.

Re: ResetAvr v1.80
Sure, I know the DR5 and tried it half a year ago, but I like the OSTC much more than this heavy and huge DR5 which looked not so well performaning in these days. And of course it should control the solenoid which shouldn't be that tricky and I expect the DR5 to do this in the next couple of month. Then I might have a closer look to this unit again.
For the END: Never seen the END/EAN display (or a ppN2/ppAir like the ppO2), where is this supposed to be found?
