first of all I'd like to introduce myself since this is my first post (beside the italian topic . My name is Peppe, italian and I run a diving centre/school in Siciliy. I received my MK2 just last night and I've been spending hours on it to familiaryze as much as possible. Having said this, let's go to my questions:
- I was running the simulator and it went at real time velocity. There is any feature (that I did not find) to speed it up?
- Which settings do you use on Deco Planner 3 to stick as much as possible to the Mk2 simulator?
Thanks to all of you and congratulation to the HW staff for the excellente job done!
You can calulate the dive and then look at the final deco plan or simulate the full profile. I agree with you that the simulator should run x10 but it is not available right now.
To make the Mk2 and the deco Planner (more or less) match you need to do the following: (I'm at work and don't have either tool in front so bear that in mind)
Set the deco planner to immediate descent, match the presure reading of the MK2 as the presure affects the deco plan, match the last stop and stop size, GF, gases, etc
Set the Mk2 to calculate deco at the stop rather than some distance from it (CF 16. Important: Set it back to 1m after you confirm the results work).
This should give you fairly similar results.
Exit completely to the main menu between runs.
Most runs will match, some will be a bit off but on average it comes quite close.
BTW when I say off is that one will tell you to stop at 18 for 1 and at 15 for one and the other may tell you to stop at 15 for 2. So no big deal.
