Bug in Log Data with v1.87 beta

Post by Bardass »

i dived this week with v1.87 beta
at the end of the dive, the curves of Jdivelog and Diving Log show that i returned to surface before going back under water.

When I analyze log data on Diving Log,
at 34:20, I'm 3m under surface
at 34:25, i'm at the surface
at 34:30, I'm 2m under surface

Yet, I never went back to the surface.
When you look at OSTC lot, the curve is correct : no surface

Therefore, I think there is a bug between data log on OSTC and data log on Jdive/Diving Log.

I used the v1.87 beta, maybe the bug still remains with v1.90 ?

Error in log data

This looks a lot like two weird results I was seeing with the 1.8x betas.

On one dive there was a spike upwards (close to 0 meters), the other dipped down somewhat (a couple of meters).

The only difference to your dive is that my spikes were visible in the OSTC logbook as well.

Since it´s most likely not a sensor issue with my device, we might see more of this bug as people take 1.90 under water.

Having said that, I never noticed anything unusual during the dives, like weird depth readings, so it is certainly a purely cosmetic and very uncritical issue (if any).

Hi,

It is worth noting the spike arise right at the gas switching. Maybe DivingLog/JDiveLog do not parse correctly the logbook format ???
