CF55

Hello Forum,

I may have misunderstood CF55. I was under the impression when reading the custom functions, that by adding a minute to setting CF55 to >1min. This would allow up to 1 min to do a gas switch and then I tell the OSTC this has been done. Then the 1 min deco stop would start on confirmation of the switch. Or are these extra mins added and calculated into the gas change stop. ie would setting CF55 to say 3 mins, would this mean a 3 min stop has now been programmed into the plan?

Is it possible to download the dives in the divelog onto the PC?

My OSTC 2N is V1.90 Is this up to date? As I read in the forum people seem to occasionally have trouble updating. I see beta 1.94 and am a little confused as to when and if I need to update??

I finally got out to the ships graveyard and into 52m on Saturday (weather has been shocking), taking a 50% and a 100% OC and let the unit do it's stuff. Very impressed with it. I was at 6m alongside a guy on CC with a predator. On surfacing he commented on the quality of the display on the 2N. I am really pleased with the unit, it was well worth the wait thanks and keep up the good work HW!!

Bruce.

Hiya Bruce, dives can be easily downloaded using Dive Log 5 which I would recommend or Jdive Log (which I wasn't so keen on). You may have issues if using a Mac.
I'd recommend sticking with V1.9 until V2 appears... let the experts try out the beta releases and find the bugs for the rest of us. It's great having so many divers helping in the continued development of an excellent computer.
Cheers, Chris.

This is exactly my understanding about the use of CF55. However, as use of it may give strange decompression plans on 1.90 I have not yet used it. I'll wait for 2.0 stable before trying CF55
