New 2.06beta available for the Mk.2/2N

Post by heinrichsweikamp »

Hi,

The new 2.06beta includes a new routine to compute the NDL (No deco limit). It's faster (consuming less CPU time) and more accurate (Reducing the difference between NDL=0 and beginning of the decompression phase).
Several smaller bugfixes concerning the internal simulator were made and in CC mode the gas change indication is now disabled (It was useless here anyway). When in OC or bailout it's activated again.

You can get the HEX file here: http://www.heinrichsweikamp.com/de/ostc_2n/firmware/

You can install it with the bootloader V2 (No reset in the unit required!). Instead of choosing "Web download" just install it manually by selecting the HEX file with "browse".

Cheers,
Matthias

Hello Matthias,

The date/time values was wrong after the upgrade. The date is now 05.05.11 and the time starts in 12:00:00h.

Could you confirm that is un upgrade problem?

Regards.

Hi

This issue was the same when upgrading to 2.05 beta - but easy to correct with the time settings.

Hello Mathias, I've had this problem occurred in version 2.05, and it happened again in version 2.06, however, I did three or four dives with version 2.05 and I did not detect any anomaly. On 8 / 12 I will go to the water and if there is any anomaly with the version 2.06 I then report.

Until the next dive.

I have to confirm the change of the time and date as well. Did not have issues when updating to 2.05.

Hi,

The clock is completely made out of software - it's ok if the clock looses it's current setting when updating the software and rebooting the unit. No need to worry - just set it in the "Set Time" menu again.

Hello Mathias, sensed a problem in dive simulator, when I enter it in the simulator starts dive to 15m so descend to 16m it has just one DECOSTOP 1 `12m.
This is true both RA as the NITROX.

Until the next dive.

Ok it just to take this decostop, if active deco gases, decostop that displays the value equal to the change of gas.
I tried some nitrox and decostop was always equal to the change of deco gas.
