computer housing?

Post by Airhead »

Hi all,
Came up today with an idea for a dive computer housing, which I think I could build.

The trouble is I know nothing about dive computer software. I require software which would be suitable for an everyday PADI recreational diver using air/ENAX to 40m.

Could this open source software be suitable to be used in my own designed computer housing? and could I then hand it over to a software developer who could then tailor it to suit my own needs?

As you guys can probably tell, I know little about how computers work and could use some help in educating myself a little more, so any help/pointers to further reading with which to educate myself would be greatly appreciated. Ian

Hey, what about the frog!? It would be a perfect for an PADI recreational diver using air/EAN to 40 meters.

So tell us more about your housing...

The idea is for a touch screen button that can work underwater at depth which looks promising. Im just looking for potential applications for it.

Checked out the frog, seems great, maybe even more than I need. Is the from software opensource? if so where do I download it? how much? any info appreciated. Ian

I guess your best bet would be JeanDo and/or HW...

No offence - but this does not belong here. Contact us directly: info@heinrichsweikamp.com

To be honest: With such a vague inquiry I don't think this is something interesting for us.

Matthias
