Hallo,
Was gibt's neues?
BUGFIX: Blink better gas in bailout case (if CF42=1)
- Das wird jetzt auch im Bailout-Fall angezeigt.
CHANGE: Surface screen layout change
- Der Dekomode steht nun oben links, die Gasanzeige ist neu
BUGFIX: Use CF01 for end-of-dive detection
CHANGE: CF01 default to 50cm
- Beim Auftauchen endet der TG in 50cm Tiefe

Hello,
What is new?
BUGFIX: Blink better gas in bailout case (if CF42=1)
- The gas change is indicated in Bailout now, too.
CHANGE: Surface screen layout change
- The decomode is displayed top-left and the gas display is new
BUGFIX: Use CF01 for end-of-dive detection
CHANGE: CF01 default to 50cm
- When reaching the surface the dive is ended in 50cm depth

Honestly i don't understand what this bottle symbol is for... Especially when "filled" with Trimix, it looks like the bottle is to small for the word "Trimix"...
And i'm not sure about the shortcuts you're using:
Tx for Trimix is somehow common, but Nx for Nitrox?
I'm used to EAN and TMX, and because we have 3 letters then, AIR would fit into a logical order...
In my eyes it doesn't make sense to have both, the bottle-symbol and the text-letters... Especially i don't like the brown color when in Trimix-mode

Just set CF41 to off and the symbol is gone. It's useful especially for Multi-gas dives...

Matthias

Good work!
Regarding the safety-stop feature (CF65), I'm glad you added it.
I almost always dive with my set of doubles even though the dive itself don't require them, it gives muscle memory and repetition.
For the same reason it's nice to have the possibility to have safety-stop reminder turned on while diving No-deco dives while on holiday or other friends.
One wish though; Please set the default values to 6-3m. I thinkt that's the range most other brands use.
Thanks,
Petter

Newbie-Frage:
Gehen bei einem Update meine persönlichen Einstellungen bei den CF's verloren?

Bei Betas i.d.R. nicht, bei Stables i.d.R. schon.

Gorgeous! And can we have CF's for setting the bottle colors, please?
>:D< *SCNR*
Just kidding. You did a good job once again! So thank you for your efforts

Hi Mike,
der Hinweis auf den verpassten Gaswechsel kommt innerhalb eines Fenster von 3m oberhalb der konfigurierten Wechseltiefe. Das geht in der 2.28 wie es soll.

Matthias

NX is quite common for Nitrox.

Hallo!

Used 2.2.8 today for two shallow dives. The safety stop timer works from 5 m but once you drop below 5 m it disappears. Would be better if it stays visible till a bit deeper. Still think it should start recording at 6 m. Will test deeper tomorrow, but still not a deco dive.

You won't degas much at 6m (Assuming a single-gas, no-deco dive -> low tissue load). Difference between ambient pressure and the overpressure in your tissues is quite low.
I think 3min between 3 and 5m is common sense in diving education.

Matthias

I thing is better if safety-stop is between 3-6m.
If buddy use Suunto computer safety-stop start 6m. Then i have same deep as my buddy.
If buddy use other computer (5m) i can go 5m whitout any problems.
Not any harm (problems) if safety-stop is between 3-6m.
My opinion.

Depends on how rough the sea is. It can get a bit exciting where we dive here to be spending much time at 3m.
Some agencies specifically teach safety stop at 6m. I think BSAC (British) does (again related to typical sea conditions in Britain) and given how many members it has it might be worth checking that out before the feature is fixed. A lot of potential customers there.

I have a suggestion for you.
Disable the Safety Stop function and start your safety stop at whatever depth you like.

All major agencies require 5 meters, which is not possible the way it is implemented right now in the OSTC, simply because it stops counting at a few centimeters below 5 meters.
The floor of the safety stop windows should be 6m simply to allow the stop to be performed at (meaning close to) 5m. Making the acceptable floor 5,50m would be good enough, but not 5m. Otherwise the feature might as well be removed again because it is useless for performing 5m safety stops.

So remove this function and use the stopwatch with the depth you want

Time and depth of the safety stop are very easy to adjust in the source code....
Want different depths or time? Compile your own.
Don't want it all toghether? Switch it off.
PS: Next stable version I will adjust the depth for the safety stop for 6-3 meters, compile and post the firmware in English. Other languages by request. Just because I do like the safety stop feature B)-

For testing: v2.28 beta with adjusted safetystop 6 to 3 meters, 3 minutes.

Hello!
@DiverM
Could you be so kind and compile the 2.28beta with a safety stop between 3 and 6m in the german language? At the moment I'm in Mexico and the stop not under 5m is not practicable in this rough sea.
Thanks in advance.
