I've tried several different batteries.
So far only the GP alkaline worked apart the xtar.
I've noticed that some batteries fit snugger and ones looser. The ones that work are looser. Is it possible that the contact point shifted?

Re: OSTC Sport won't start with a SAFT lithium 3.7v battery.
Tried with an energizer plus. Still the same. No contact/power on.
Only with the xtar so far
I'll try with a different 1.5v battery after I grab one from the store

OSTC Sport won't start with a SAFT lithium 3.7v battery.
I have a xtar14500 that I use as a chargable battery, but i bought a saft LS14500 lithium as a backup.
And the device would not start with the non chargable battery. It starts only with the chargable battery.
Is this an issue with the frimware? Should a reset fix the issues?

How to turn on gauge mode on OSTC sport with HW OS Sport
Is there even a possibility to turn it on? Or if I needa a gauge I can use the Apnea mode?
Is there a difference between apnea and gauge mode?

Re: OSTC Sport set up for sidemount
Thaks,
That's the plan.
I was initially planning on going backmount, but my back problems pushed me to first start SM, then go onto Tec classes.

Re: OSTC Sport set up for sidemount
I'm starting my sidemount course next week. I'm just completing my gear.
I read up as much online as I can on sidemount before my instructor comes back and we start the course.

Re: OSTC Sport set up for sidemount
Awesome reply. Thanks.
One question,
If I set to dive with 2x10, which is 20l.
How to calc the air consumption in subsurface at the end if I have a tank with 100bar left and with 80bar left?
Is the calculation then from 200bar down to an average 90bar or something else?

OSTC Sport set up for sidemount
I was wondering how to correctly set up the Sport for sidemount.
I'm guessing that I need to set up two gas set ups as two different tanks, and then mark that I've changed gas when swapping tanks.
Is there a different way of doing this or would this be recommend one?

Re: OSTC Sport gave me a stop on a Non Deco dive at 3m for 3min
Thanks Matthias,
I saw that the deconstops are displayed numerically compared to the safety stop after doing some simulated deco dives.
I just wanted to confirm that I didn't mess up any settings.

Re: OSTC Sport gave me a stop on a Non Deco dive at 3m for 3min
Got it. Thanks for the explanation.
It makes a lot more sense to have the safety stop around 5-3 meters than hovering around 6-5m.
This helped a lot to understand the computer and how to sync it when diving with other people than my dive club.

Re: OSTC Sport gave me a stop on a Non Deco dive at 3m for 3min
Got it. It confused me as to why didn't it count down when I was at 5.4m, I guess this is more safe way of doing it. I just have to get used to it.
Thanks for the info.

Re: OSTC Sport gave me a stop on a Non Deco dive at 3m for 3min
Is it possible that the Safety stop was tiggered after 5m only, and it was active between 5-3m?
On my old computer it would trigger around 6m, and stay until 3m.
maybe that's what I saw.
Edit: after playing around with the planner and simulatior, the thing I got was a safety stop, and that the ...

So around 5.5m I got a notification for Stop and 2:59 displayed. And it didn't start counting down until I've moved above 4m.

OSTC Sport gave me a stop on a Non Deco dive at 3m for 3min
Hi. I did a long shallow non deco dive and the computer gave me a 3m/3min stop.
I thought that the last deco stop fires only on deco dives, and that th safety stop is at 5m.
I've attached the dive profile.
Can someone provide an explanation?
